CASE STUDY

Sisley Spa-Within-a-Spa at Well & Being

AMBITION

When a landmark Scottsdale luxury resort needed a partner to revitalize its spa experience and turn it into a destination itself, they chose Trilogy as their partner. While many destination wellness experiences focus on medical-grade therapies, after evaluating the opportunity, guest profile, and local market, Trilogy determined the target audience considered medical-grade too invasive and instead wished for a wellness experience focused on unique but approachable therapies such as aerial yoga. Upon opening, this flagship 30,000-square-foot Well & Being wellness facility took its place among other well-known destination spas across the United States while offering something unique. Encompassing retail, luxury spa amenities, a rooftop pool experience, stunning fitness space, and a full-service salon, Well & Being has achieved hotel management’s goal of capitalizing on the trend of wellness tourism.

This flagship location also serves as an innovation testbed for Trilogy. In 2021, Trilogy identified the opportunity to offer guests a more exclusive luxury wellness experience, more efficiently utilize the physical space, and add another dimension to the guest experience. The result is the world’s first spa-within-a-spa, with a full Sisley wellness experience – including dedicated check-in, lounge, retail, and treatment space – ensconced in Well & Being. This seamless experience provides hotel guests and local residents even more choice in achieving their wellness goals.

OUTCOME

Upon opening, Well & Being resonated strongly with the market, doubling spa volume and YoY performance growth at the resort. That success has continued over the past decade-plus, including the spa-within-a-spa concept addition.

  • Trilogy has increased spa revenues from $3 million to $13 million in 10+ years of operation

  • Due to demand, the Sisley experience expanded from 5 to7 rooms in 2022 and now serves due an average of 400 guests each month

  • The Trilogy-operated wellness experiences make up 10% of overall resort revenue while utilizing only 5% of the total revenue generating space
